    Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has returned home following a weeklong visit to Europe that took him to Geneva Switzerland, Paris, France and London in the United Kingdom.
    While in Geneva, Vice President Boakai held discussions with the Vice President of the Swiss Federation, met with the heads of the World Health Organization, the Head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Former Secretary General of the United Nations Dr. Kofi Annan and the Director General of the United Nations Headquarters in Europe. Vice President Boakai also met and held discussions with African Diplomats accredited to the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva. While in Geneva, Switzerland, the Vice President attended an investment forum at which time he discussed the investment climate in Liberia and separate groups of the Swiss Business Community according to a release from the Office of the Vice President.
    In Paris, Vice President Boakai met with the Liberian community and held talks with international partners on a variety of investment issues including the Minister of State for Development and Francophone, attached to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Mr. Jean Marie Le Guen.
    In London, the United Kingdom, Vice President Boakai appeared on Focus on Africa and BBC World Television in a bid to inform the world about what was obtaining in Liberia and responded to questions on his political ambition.
    While In the United Kingdom, Vice President Boakai met with the head of His Church, the Reverend Trevor Cockings in Lincoln, outside of London where he was shown several equipment that are designated for Liberia.
    Vice President Boakai has been working with His Church since 2006.
