    Vice President Joseph N. Boakai on Friday, March 18, 2016, was at the Muslim Congress High School on Newport Street, Monrovia, as honored guest to cut the ribbon to a newly renovated school building for use by the Kindergarten Section of the School. Renovation on the building was carried out by joint effort of the Diaspora and Home Based Alumni Associations of the Muslim Congress School.

    Making brief remarks at the ceremony, VP Boakai stressed the importance of molding the minds of the young for sustaining the climate of peace and concord among the diverse religious groups in the country. He noted that religion should be used to unite rather than divide the nation. The VP thanked the alumni in the Diaspora for not forgetting from where the came and for taking steps to better the lives of those coming after them.

    Other key speakers at the program which took place inside the Mosque at the Muslim Congress School Compound, were Ambassador Ali Sylla, School Committee Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Omaru Kamara, Chairman of the National Muslim Council of Liberia, Alhaji Baba Mahmoud, Chairman of Muslim Congress of Liberia, and Mr. Mohamed Z. Fofana, President of the Alumni Association of Muslim Congress High School
